We get up a little earlier than usual today and since it seems to be a nice day, we decide to use the day wise. We set off to the Big Buddha on Lantau Island, which I find HUGE. Then, we walk for a while in some nice air to see the Wisdom Path where some tall tree trunks are carved with meaningful religious writings.
After that, we arrive at Tai O, a fishing village which is occupied by aged locals who live and feed on their own. Sin Sze says we are there on the most crowded day of the year, but I still find it nice with all the simple housing and the very short Hong Kong style sunset by the water.
In the late evening, we are out looking for some hot food, the curry restaurant we want to go to has already closed so we end up at another place in Tin Hau which serves very nice Hong Kong style soup noodles for 15HKD a bowl. You can choose your own food from a huge variety of ingredients to go with the soup. The good thing is that they don’t have extra service charge and they open till 2am.
After the meal, we decide to go for some cocktails. We go to Inside Out in Causeway Bay which I find just OK, I am not even beschwippst. But for those who like peanuts, it is the place to be cos you can have as much as you want there.
