The day starts very early for us. We go to the meeting point in Hung Hum for the Chinese tour. After crossing the border to China, we drive two hours through the country and make our first stop at a museum for traditional clothes from the Tang and Qing dynasties. They have a show with dancers and a ‘King’. At the end of that show, the show master asks some people from the audience to play paper, scissors and stone with him. I win a ‘kitschig’ photo frame. A girl plays the guzheng (a traditional Chinese musical instrument) while two other girl and a man dance. The man can change the masks he is wearing very fast so that it is not visible to the audience.
We go back to a bus and drive to a ‘Mongolian ‘village’ where a very entertaining woman tells us about Mongolian history. In a modern designed tent with air conditioning we get horse milk tea to taste. Sure we are offered to buy some of the horse milk products. After that, we get back to the bus driving to a place where we have a good lunch. As dessert we buy some delicious tasty mini-pineapples on a stick.
Next, we stop at a place of aloe vera where we are told about the benefits of aloe vera that we can purchase of course. Back to the bus we drive to the next sales attraction. This time it’s all about mushrooms.
Sin Sze tells me that the accommodation we are going to is cheaper when we join a tour. It’s kind of like a sponsored traveling. We drive pass a lot of Chinese villages, while seeing lots of manual work in the rice fields and other agricultures. People are mostly riding bicycles or motorbikes. Some use construction helmets or plastic bowels or just no helmets at all.
We arrive at the Dreamland Resort in the early evening. It’s a brand new resort with many small houses. We have a big room with a nice bed and a rain shower. There is also a big living room for all people in the house. After the dinner we go to an area with hundreds of small hot springs. We have a nice relaxing time in the water. We also try out a head, back, foot massage from some Chinese massagers.
