It’s a sunny day today. Sin Sze and I decide to begin our day with The Flower Show at Victoria Park. There are some nice sculptures made of flowers like dolphins, dinosaurs, Olympics dolls and pandas.
Then we get on a bus to Aberdeen where take a ferry to Sok Kwu Wan on Lamma Island. It is a relaxing ferry trip with some cool breeze on the way. We arrive on the island after around 40 minutes. Close to the pier, there are a few seafood restaurants with some big tanks where they keep the seafood fresh. We take a walk along the trail from Sok Kwu Wan to Yung Shue Wan under the bright blue sky. Along the way, you may find some nice viewpoints of the seafood restaurant area and of the icon of Lamma Island – the 3 chimneys of the power plant.
After about an hour, we arrive at the other side of Lamma Island, we take a rest at the Waterfront Bar for some fries and ginger ale. There you would find a good view of the waterfront and of the sunset. We walk around in the main street area where you can find a selection of restaurants and boutique shops and groceries. Later we meet Marco, a friend of Sin Sze’s who lives on the island. Marco is originally from Weimar, Germany who wants to stay in Hong Kong forever.
